O Shimmering Sound



O shimmering sound, the music of night, awaken my soul as I sleep, come into my heart and my soul with your light, your love most disturbing and sweet.


O lover of souls, the one who desires, communion with creatures of earth, O burn in my heart with the flame of delight, transform me in darkness to light.


O God of the wind, O God of the fire, God in the lute and the lyre, fill all our senses with love and with light, search us and inflame our desire.


O Spirit of God, you formed us from clay, moulded from dust of the earth, breathe into our bones with your Spirit of fire, bring us from desert to life!
